As Spring returns to NorCal it is time once again to visit the antique shows, shops and markets in search of that perfect something to spruce up your space for the season. April and May bring some of our favorite annual events where several vendors collaborate to offer the best of the best from miles around. Whether you are an antiquing novice or a dealer wishing to participate these gatherings are an excellent way to see what’s happening in the market this year.
The fun begins April 7 & 8 at the Roses and Rust Vintage Market in Anderson. Every year friends, neighbors and visitors from afar gather at the Shasta County Fairgrounds to buy, sell, trade or just browse the wonderful and unique items available. Patrons can expect to find everything from authentic antiques and furniture to one of a kind hand-crafted and repurposed treasures. Vintage camping trailers will be on-site as well to whisk you back to days gone by on the open road. The month of May is all about Mom so why not begin her Mothers Day with a trip to the Mothers Day Chico Antiques & Design Faire at Patrick Ranch? For five years running antique hounds and collectors from Oregon to the Bay Area and beyond have flocked to this outdoor market hosted by the Eighth & Main Antique Center of Chico. This year brings over 50 vendors to the ranch, showcasing a wonderful array of classic antiques and vintage collectibles along with up-cycled and repurposed treasures from all around the historical north state. The original house at Patrick Ranch has been transformed into a splendid museum that will be open to enjoy with Mom on her special day as well.
